Huawei P9 Media Launch
Vibgyor Brand Services won a multi-agency pitch to manage and execute the launch of P9, Huawei’s premium flagship smartphone at New Delhi on 17th August 2016. The Huawei P9 takes the smartphone photography to a new level with a dual-lens rear camera which it created along with Leica Camera AG, globally renowned manufacturer of cameras and sport optics products.
The power packed launch event was ideated, conceptualized and executed by Vibgyor Brand Services. The design of the event was based on the international theme ‘Change The Way You See The World’ and ‘#OO’, a campaign that highlights the dual lens camera feature brought to us by huawei's collaboration with leica, using technology that combines monochrome and color in the final output of the photograph giving it more depth and clarity. The décor of the launch was done keeping in mind the theme with colored pictures displayed on one side and Black & White pictures on the other side of the hall and a 80ft wide stage with the LED Screen was elaborately set to launch the smartphone. In addition to this, an experience zone was created for the demo of P9. The media attendees walked through the tunnel to the demo zone where the phones were displayed giving them an innovative experience. The demo area décor was again woven into the #OO theme and fashionable items were placed to click pictures. Live pianist and violinist were played adding to the soothing musical background to the area. Vibgyor managed the entire event from end to end including travel bookings, hotel coordination, event management, content and every aspect associated with the event.
Mr Peter Zhai, President, Huawei India, Consumer Business Group along with Bollywood actors Sushmita Sen, Boman Irani and world renowned photographer Darren Centofanti, launched the smartphone. The company also launched Huawei Smart Watch and revealed the upcoming products – the Matebook and the TalkBand B3, which will be debuting soon in India. A customized launch AV showcased the theme ‘#ChangeTheWayYouSeeTheWorld’, the product and the India Brand Ambassador Saina Naihwal. Also, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), India’s apex industry body for fashion, announced it partnership with Huawei P9. Sunil Sethi, President FDCI, announced Huawei P9 as the official camera phone for the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017. The event was live streamed across the globe. Emcee Cyrus Sahukar played a lovely host of the evening.
